After two months of intensive training and preparation, the SSA Youth Expedition Project (YEP) team departed for Yunnan on 19 May 2019 for a 15-day educational and cultural exchange in a school at the Diansha village, Yunnan.
Prior to the overseas trip, the team members of the SSA YEP team conducted educational activities for some 40 students at the PPIS (Singapore Muslim Women’s Association) Student Care Centre. Through various games and activities, the SSA Youth aims to ignite the students’ interest in learning and cherishing great aspirations.
This activity was part of the SSA YEP team’s local project to contribute to the community. Such engagement with students from PPIS also serves as a valuable service-learning experience for the SSA team.
