On 12 August, SGS Fife and Drum Corps put up a spirited and rousing performance at the Pasir Ris-Punggol National Day 2023 at One Punggol integrated community hub in the presence of some 3,000 audience.
In recent months, the Soka Volunteers Group (SVG) work together with our Arts and Culture Groups to bring joy to our community.
SGS is happy to welcome the opening of a new blood bank at One Punggol integrated community hub on 17 August as one of the key partners to cultivate a pool of regular blood donors under the Health Sciences Authority and SRC’s “Adopt A Blood bank” initiative.
In conjunction with July 3, Mentor and Disciple Day, and in commemoration of the 72nd anniversaries of the Young Men Division and Young Women Division’s formation days, which fall on July 11th and July 19th respectively, over the course of two weekends on July 22 to 30, the vibrant youth of SGS came together for tri-regional gatherings.

Several stories are found in the Buddhist scriptures. Shakyamuni Buddha used parables to teach his disciples about certain aspects of Buddhist faith. Nichiren Daishonin, in his writings called Gosho, referred to some of these stories to explain his teachings to his disciples.
