On 18 April 2010, 140 members of Soka Volunteer Group (SVG) participated in the first ever full-day training course held since its formation 6 years ago.
The event was conducted at 2 venues, first session at Soka Youth Centre (SYC) followed by another session Poh Ern Shih located just near SYC. The purpose of having the participants visit Poh Ern Shih was to learn about the eco-friendly structure and facilities found in the temple.
Volunteer Programme Manager of Dover Park Hospice was also invited to share on Hospice and Palliative Care. The volunteers were high-spirited as they learnt about the purpose and spirit of volunteering and serving the community.
