Soka Gakkai conferred upon Mercy Relief, the “Soka Gakkai Award of Honour”, which was received by Mr T K Udairam, Mercy Relief Chairman, at the Mercy Relief Stakeholders’ Charity Golf and Dinner 2010, held on 25 November. Mr Ong Bon Chai, SSA General Director, presented the award that carried the signatures of Dr Daisaku Ikeda, Soka Gakkai Honorary President, and Mr Minoru Harada, Soka Gakkai President.
The award’s citation reads: “Sharing the aims and ideals of the Soka Gakkai’s movement for human happiness and peace, you have made significant contributions to the promotion of peace, culture and education. In recognition of your distinguished achievements, we hereby confer upon you the Soka Gakkai Award of Honour.” The ceremony was witnessed by the Guest-of-Honour for the event, Mr George Yeo, Minister for Foreign Affairs.
