SSA Youth representatives attended a forum organised by the People’s Association on 17 August 2009 to discuss Prime Minister’s speech delivered at the National Day Rally 2009.
The discussion among 120 youth from various grassroot organisations revolved dominantly around Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong’s remarks on issue of social cohesion. SSA representative Ms Ang Boon Kheng felt the way to encourage greater religious understanding among young people is to introduce a platform for them to regularly discuss such issues.
The youth also discussed on health care and economic issues.
