At the Soka Gakkai Day commemorative meeting on 3 May 2009, Singapore Soka Association General Director Ong Bon Chai was presented the Global Kosen-rufu Contribution Award from the Soka Gakkai International.
The award was presented to Mr Ong in recognition for his distinguished efforts in making lasting contributions to the realization of global kosen-rufu (peace and happiness for all people).
