Dressed in their best and showered with the blessings of their children and loved ones, 88 SSA couples who have been married for 25 years or more walked down the aisle once more at the Silver Jubilee Wedding Celebration held at the SSA Headquarters’ Ikeda Culture Auditorium on December 30, 2007.
This unprecedented wedding celebration was conducted as part of the series of events held in the last month of 2007 to commemorate SGS’s 40th anniversary.
For the 88 couples, this special event brought back much cherished memories of their wedding day many years ago, and furthermore, it was also symbolic of their eternal, everlasting love for one another, having walked the path of life together for so many years.
Among the 88 pairs were even couples who have been married for more than half a century.
This unique event was covered on ChannelNews Asia and Channel 8 where it was aired the very same evening on national television.
