“Gandhi, King, Ikeda: A Legacy of Building Peace” Exhibition Drew 4,500 Viewers Over A Week

The “Gandhi, King, Ikeda: A Legacy of Building Peace” international exhibition opened at the Tampines West Community Club on October 15. The official opening ceremony was graced by Minister of State, Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports, Mrs Yu-Foo Yee Shoon. Some 200 people, including Dr Lawrence Edward Carter Sr., Dean of the Martin Luther King Jr. International Chapel, Morehouse College, Imam Syed Hassan Al-Attas of Ba’alwie Mosque, Mr Ng Cheng Huat from Tampines West Community Club, Mr Alexander Charles Louis, Acting Secretary General of the United Nations Association of Singapore, and Mr David Tay, President of the Photographic Society of Singapore, attended the event.

In his speech, Mr Ng Cheng Huat shared that this exhibition, held at the grassroots level across various faith organisations, NGOs and community clubs, focused on the message of spreading peace to the common people.
