Book Donation to SMU & NTU

On October 17, SSA donated some 20 titles of SGI President Ikeda’s dialogues with world leaders to the Singapore Management University (SMU). These titles covered topics on youth, humanism, peace and education. SSA Chairman Ong Bon Chai presented the books to SMU President Professor Howard Hunter following the lecture by Dr Lawrence Edward Carter Sr. at the campus.

Dr Carter delivered the talk “Taking the Quantum Leap to Peace and Development” to some 100 students and teaching staff of SMU. The session was held at the Wee Kim Wee Centre, Lee Kong Chian School of Business of the SMU. Chairperson for the lecture was Director of the Wee Kim Wee Centre, Dr Ong Siow Heng. The video “Gandhi, King, Ikeda: Community Builders” was also screened at the lecture. On October 26, SSA Secretary Oh Kheng Yam presented some 50 books of SGI President ikeda’s dialogues with world leaders to Nanyang Technological University (NTU). Former President of NTU, Professor Cham Tao Soon received on behalf of teh school. The books cover topics on youth, humanism, peace and education.
