Senja Soka Centre

The Senja Soka Centre was officially opened by Mr David T E Lim, then Acting Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts on October 12, 2002. Located near the Senja LRT station, the SSC is the first activity centre established in the northern region. It is also the first SGS centre to house a columbarium.

The four-storey building has nine prayer halls and rooms. The main prayer hall, named Hall of Gratitude, is at level four. This column-free hall has a capacity of 700 and is built with adjacent preparation rooms and toilets.

Officially opened on March 16, 1997 and formerly situated at Tampines Soka Centre, the An-Le Temple (meaning Temple of Peace and Happiness) was relocated to Senja Soka Centre upon its completion.

Senja Soka Centre also houses the columbarium named An-Le Memorial Hall. It is specially designed and equipped to meet the members’ needs for a peaceful final resting place for their deceased family members.

The Memorial Hall’s operations and its ceremonial services are aimed at maintaining the dignity and solemnity befitting the tradition and practice of Nichiren Buddhism.

Soka Training School

Training and development are highly important in enhancing the membership’s Buddhist understanding, leadership development as well as life-long learning objectives. The Soka Training School was established in 2005 as the Association’s training arm and currently operates from the Soka Culture Centre where orientation and induction programmes and leadership training are conducted.
