Last weekend, SGS participated in two meaningful events organized by the Racial and Religious Harmony Circles.
On October 26, a team led by General Director Goh Kim Hua and Chairman Tay Eng Kiat attended the Peace and Harmony Dialogue held at Singapore Management University, with Minister for Culture, Community, and Youth, Mr Edwin Tong, as the Guest of Honour. The event featured an interfaith prayer for peace in the Middle East conducted by the Inter-Religious Organization, followed by an interfaith dialogue on the significance of peace and harmony in Singapore.
On October 27, General Director Goh joined the inaugural Tampines Unite Gathering, held in response to the recent planned terror attack by a 17-year-old Singaporean, which was foiled by authorities. The gathering was held at the open plaza at Tampines Street 81 – where the teen had supposedly planned to carry out his plan to stab non-Muslim males. GD Goh joined religious leaders from various Tampines groups on stage for the silent prayers for the peace and happiness of Tampines residents.
