NDP Thank You Meeting
On September 3, a “Thank-You” meeting was held at the SSA Headquarters with the 1,000 SSA National Day Parade (NDP) participants. The NDP 2006 Show Chairman gave a heart-warming speech after receiving the Soka Goodwill Award from SSA Chairman Ong Bon Chai. The other recipient of the award was NDP EXCO Organising Secretary LTC Chua Cheng Lee.
LTC Chua in his acceptance speech highlighted SSA’s philosophy of always focussing on the people. He said, “I think there is something I have learnt from Soka (SSA), that is the strength o fthe human being, the strength of the people.” He went on to say that SSA members are committed, passionate and encouraging, saying that SSA members strike him as being able to “enjoy every moment of the day, every moment where you are.”
