10th Annual SMU-Soka International Peace Symposium

The 10th SMU–Soka International Peace Symposium was held in two parts on 6 February. The lunchtime online session, themed “The Future of Inequalities in the Age of AI,” drew some 200 participants.

In the evening, the keynote lecture at SMU’s Ngee Ann Kongsi Auditorium welcomed about 320 attendees. Titled “Resource Divides, Representational Biases and Invisible Illiteracies: Countering AI-Accelerated Inequalities,” the session offered deeper insights into the challenges and responsibilities in an AI-driven age. The keynote lecture featured guest speaker Ms Sun Sun Lim, Vice President (Partnerships & Engagement) and Lee Kong Chian Professor of Communication and Technology at the College of Integrative Studies, Singapore Management University.
