Over the month of July, Soka Gakkai Singapore (SGS) had the privilege of connecting with the community through three meaningful events.
📍 4 July – 16 youths, led by SGS Youth Chief Koh Song Heng attended Harmony Fest! 2026 where President Tharman Shanmugaratnam was the Guest of Honour.
The event commemorated Racial and Religious Harmony Month and the 60th anniversary of the National Pledge with the theme, “60 Years of Our Pledge: A Tribute to the Pioneers of Harmony.””
📍 19 July – Punggol GRC Inter-Racial and Religious Harmony Carnival 2026
We welcomed Punggol residents to our introduction booth, where we shared our philosophy of respect for the dignity of life through the showcase of our community initiatives. SGS Peony Dance Group also delighted audiences with a vibrant cultural performance.
📍 25 July – Tampines: Harmony in Unity & Diversity
We had another wonderful opportunity to engage Tampines residents at our introduction booth. SGS Chairman, Mr Tay Eng Kiat, also participated in the Interfaith and Intergenerational Prayer alongside community partners, while the Soka New Century Orchestra presented an inspiring musical performance.
We are deeply grateful for these opportunities to foster friendship, strengthen community bonds, and contribute towards building a more caring, harmonious and inclusive society together. 💛
