The essays in this book are an account of President Ikeda’s travels to 17 out of the 54 countries he went. Addressing school-going children, the ‘Future Division’ of the Soka Gakkai, he talks about his encounters with both ordinary and eminent figures around the world.
Through his recollections of scenic wonders and the unique characteristics of each place, he shows young people the importance of appreciating our earth, of making and treasuring friends, of imbibing cultures for one’s own better understanding of the respect for all life, of opening the mind to transcend all differences, and becoming ‘creators of peace’.
Each essay in this book is accompanied by a photograph taken by President Ikeda of the various places he has visited.
