On June 10, 2017, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Singapore Kosen-rufu movement, SSA held the Community Partners Appreciation Night at the Singapore Chinese Culture Night. The Guest-of-Honour was Mr Heng Swee Keat, Minister for Finance and Member of Parliament for Tampines GRC.
A Tribute to the Lion City: The Jewel of Southeast Asia was launched in August 2015 in celebration of Singapore’s Golden Jubilee. It contains SGI President Ikeda’s writings, thoughts and interactions with Singapore, her leaders and her people over the course of his three visits to Singapore in 1988, 1995 and 2000.
In this significant 50th year of Singapore’s independence, a new book by SGI President Daisaku Ikeda was launched in Singapore.
Singapore Soka Association (SSA) joined the nation in mourning and paying tribute to the late founding Prime Minister through a series of special commemorative events.
