Training for National Day Parade 2009 Kick starts

On July 20, some 300 students and teachers of Damai Secondary School watched the award winning documentary “Another Way of Seeing Things” as part of their educational segment in commemoration of Racial Harmony Day.
Some 20 members of SVG helped to manned the donation booths for Singapore Disability Sports Council Flag Day at 12 locations islandwide.
Some 150 DEA participants paid a meaningful visit to the Headquarters of Singapore Police Force at Cantonment Road. The visit was intended to raise awareness of what the police can do for senior citizens.
From February 13 to 15, NUSSD members rented a booth at the bazaar organised by the Engineering Faculty of NUS.
SGI President Ikeda once wrote, “There is probably nothing that speaks as directly to the human heart as music. Music as a vehicle for peace; music to connect hearts; and music to inspire hope in people’s lives” – these objectives, which captured the noble cultural spirit of the Soka Wind Ensemble (SWE), the YMD Courageous Musician Group (Brass Band) and the YWD Fife-and-Drum-Corps of the SSA, are clearly exemplified by their ever-advancing, ever-refreshing and ever-inspiring music.
