Despite the drizzle on 2 October, 300 members of SSA Regional Headquarters 6 (RHQ6) participated in the Mental Wellness Carnival held at the open field next to the Paya Lebar MRT station. This event was organised by Silver Ribbon (Singapore) to commemorate World Mental Health Day. The main activities of the event served to promote awareness of mental wellness and reduce prejudice against people with mental illness.
SSA has been partnering Silver Ribbon (Singapore) since 2006. This year the SSA Volunteer Group helped to pack 1,000 goodie bags for this event while the participants from RHQ6 held silver umbrellas to form a ribbon-shaped human chain.
