From 21-24 September, SSA organised the “Building a Culture of Peace for the Children of the World” exhibition at the Singapore Management University (SMU). This exhibition was put up together with a series of events held by the school in commemoration of September 21 – the International Day of Peace.
At the opening ceremony held on September 21, some 22 international students dressed in their national dresses shared declarations for peace in their own native languages. A SSA Young Women Student member was chosen to represent Singapore in the peace declaration.
Many SMU academic staff, lecturers and students penned their thoughts for peace after viewing the exhibition. This day concluded with an interfaith forum to promote the mutual understanding of different religions.
