Celebrating the Lunar New Year with Friends from SPD

On February 1, sixty volunteers from the Soka Volunteer Group (SVG) accompanied thirty members of SPD (formerly the Society for the Physically Disabled) to tour the street markets in Chinatown and immerse in the Lunar New Year festive atmosphere. The SVG members also prepared a medley of songs with melodious chords from the ukulele as accompaniment. This is the eleventh year that the SVG has conducted the Chinatown visit in partnership with the SPD.

As the saying goes, “shared joy is a double joy…”, this annual activity never fails to bring great joy to the SVG members and friends of SPD alike as they share the joy of the festive season together.
