On July 29, Chairman of the Indian Council of Gandhian Studies, Dr Neelakanta Radhakrishnan presented “Orienting Education for the Sake of Peace” at the Fourth SSA Student Peace Lecture. Chairing the lecture was Dr Michael Heng, Senior Research Fellow of East Asia Institute of Singapore. Some 220 students and academic staff attended the lecture held at the Singapore Management University.
The following day on July 30, Dr Radhakrishnan, together with SSA Vice Chairman Mr Michael Yap and Vice General Director Mr Chan Heng Yuen, paid a courtesy call at the Harmony Center @ An-Nahdhah. The hour-long visit was hosted by President of the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS) Mr Haji Mohd Alami Musa, and his staff.
