SSA members donated a total of S$13,418.40 at a fund-raising event held in aid of the victims of Super Typhoon Haiyan, which struck the Philippines in November. The event was held at the SSA Headquarters, Senja Soka Centre and Soka Culture Centre on November 24.
The amount collected was donated to Mercy Relief Limited in support of their humanitarian relief efforts in the Philippines. SSA Chief Executive Director Tay Eng Kiat presented the cheque to the Mercy Relief Chief Executive Goh Chin Siang on December 3.
