Over the years, SGS has partnered the Singapore Red Cross (SRC) in conducting annual blood donation drives at our Centres to rally people to donate blood to save lives. This activity is especially meaningful with an aging population, increased healthcare needs and during the Covid-19 pandemic where the national blood bank faces a constant low. As such, SGS is happy to welcome the opening of a new blood bank at One Punggol integrated community hub on 17 August as one of the key partners to cultivate a pool of regular blood donors under the Health Sciences Authority and SRC’s “Adopt A Blood bank” initiative. SGS General Director Tay Eng Kiat received the Certificate of Appreciation from Minister for Health Ong Ye Kung at the Opening Ceremony event.
