On February 4th, the President of the Singapore Buddhist Lodge (SBL), Mr Lee Bock Guan and three other delegates pay a goodwill visit to the SSA Headquarters where a dialogue session between the two organisations’ representatives ensued.
After learning about SSA and its endeavours in the areas of Peace, Culture and Education, Mr Lee lauded the efforts which resonate well with SBL’s on-going efforts to promote cordial exchanges among different faiths and races. Mr Lee also highlighted his appreciation for SSA’s dedicated efforts to engage and empower youth and women.
Through the dialogue, both organisations understood their similar goals in working for the welfare of the common people and the society at large. As aptly summed up by Mr Lee, “Buddhism is about bringing goodness and peace to everyone.”
