South West Community Development Council (SWCDC) partnered Ngee Ann Polytechnic, NUS SAVE, Singapore Soka Association (SSA) and 7 other faith organisations in the south west district in organising the annual recycling activity held on 17 January 2010 at Soka Culture Centre. The event was officiated by Dr Amy Khor, Mayor of SWCDC.
About 100 SSA members helped in collecting and packing more than 13 tonnes of donated old clothing and paper that were converted to some $5000 in cash that would benefit needy students from ITE College West and MINDS-Clementi.
