SSA – An organisation with “System”, “Spirit” and “Aim”

SSA Goodwill Award Presented to BG Goh Kee Nguan and BG Toh Bee Chew

“I have learnt three things from SSA – “System”, “Spirit” and “Aim”, said BG Goh Kee Nguan, Chairman of National Day Parade 2006 Executive Committee (NDP 2006 EXCO), in his acceptance speech after receiving the SSA Goodwill Award. The other recipient of the award was BG Toh Bee Chew, Advisor of the NDP 2006 EXCO.

The conferral ceremony was held on October 3 at the “Let’s Grow Together” (LGT) cum October 12 Commemorative Meeting at SSA Headquarters in the presence of some 1,000 leaders.

BG Goh explained n his speech about the aspect of “Spirit”, “I always see the spirit from the people in Soka. This spirit comes from the heart. It comes from within. This spirit allows members of Soka to put up a great show without having anyone to shout at you.”In his acceptance speech, BG Toh recalled the intimate relationship he cultivated with SSA back in 1998 when he was the Chairman of National Day Parade 1998 Executive Committee. BG Toh expressed his deepest appreciation to SSA for the award and commented that the behaviour of SSA members have shown him the power of humanity.
