On December 13, SSA was commended for the support in partnering Mercy Relief through the campaign “Cultivating a Grateful and Gracious Society” (CGGS). SSA Chairman Ong Bon Chai received the CGGS Partners Award from Guest of Honour Senior Minister Goh Chok Thong at the event held at Vivo City. This event also marks the finale concert for the CGGS Campaign that has been launched since August to December 2008 this year.
Some 40 Young Men Division members also helped in the logistical running of the event.
SSA has been a partner of the “Cultivating A Grateful and Gracious Society” (CGGS) Campaign initiated by Mercy Relief in August this year. Other partners for the five-month campaign included Northeast CDC, SouthWest CDC and Hyperbaric & Occupational Medicine (HOM) Pte Ltd. SSA has supported the good cause by providing the venue for two of the four “Harmony for Humanity Concerts” as well as in the design of the campaign booklet, both to spread the message of building a gracious society.
