SSA Youth Division member Marcu Chia was awarded the Lee Kuan Yew Award for All Round Excellence. This award recognizes individuals who have excelled in and out of the classroom. A total of 93 awards were given out by Minister of State for Education Gan Kim Yong at the annual ceremony on August 22.
Marcus Chia has excelled in his field of nursing in the Institute of Technical Education, and was active in his leadership roles in school such as the Student Counsel. He has received various awards such as Lee Kuan Yew Model Award, Lee Kuan Yew Technology Award, Outstanding Graduate Award and the best award among campuses, the Rotary Award. He also received the Lee Kuan Yew Scholarship which will cover his polytechnic tuition fees.
