On February 17, the second day of the Lunar New Year, SGS’s Sunflower Dance Ensemble (SDE) performed at the Istana Open House in the presence of Singapore President Halimah Yacob, her husband Mohamed Abdullah Alhabshee and members of the public. SDE has previously performed at the Istana Open House in 2015 and 2017 as well.
The Chinese dance titled “Brilliance” saw the 16 SDE members delighting the audience with their graceful dance moves; each of them expressing their fervent hope to spread the joy of spring and conveying well-wishes to everyone through their dance, smiles and high spirits.
