In appreciation of his 50-year leadership on the movement to achieve world peace, the Chinatown Chinese New Year Celebrations Committee presented Soka Gakkai International President Dr Daisaku Ikeda a recognition award at the opening ceremony of the Chinese New Year celebrations on the 23 January 2010. The award serves as an affirmation of Dr Ikeda’s efforts of promoting peace through arts and culture activities.
At this event, two groups of SSA performers, Soka Youth Dance Crew and Women Division Peony Group put in their high-energy dance items to cheering and appreciative audience.
