Soka Chorus supports “Our Songs”: 25th Anniversary Concert for SPH Choir
A 30-strong team from the Soka Chorus was invited to support the 25th Anniversary Concert for the Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) Choir, entitled Our Songs, held at the Esplanade Concert Hall on December 2. The audience was treated to a nostalgic rendition of Singapore Chinese folk songs (xinyao), among which Soka Chorus presented three pieces. The group also teamed up with the SPH Choir for the finale to present two more xinyao favourites.
In August this year, Soka Chorus also participated in the Initial Choral Singing examination conducted by The Association Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) and passed with distinction.
