On 10 November 2018, SSA participated in an interfaith Harmony Day event organized by the Bahá’í Community and Cashew IRCC based on the theme “Building Communities & Transforming Society”.
Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Member of Parliament for Holland-Bukit Timah GRC was the Guest of Honour for the event. Dr Teo Ho Pin, Mayor of North West District and Member of Parliament for Bukit Panjang Constituency, and over 100 people from the interfaith communities and residents of Holland-Bukit Timah GRC and Bukit Panjang Constituency were present for an afternoon of discussions and cultural appreciation.
Two SSA representatives – Management Committee Vice-Chairperson Mr Lee Cheng Wee, and Future Division Chief Mr Wu Derui, co-facilitated a group discussion on ‘Worship and Service’.
The Soka Century New Orchestra String Quartet also performed at the occasion.
