Gyeongsangnam, SOUTH KOREA: On May 3, Gimhae City in Gyeongsangnam Province awards honorary citizenships to SGI President Ikeda and Mrs. Ikeda in recognition of their contributions to friendship between Japan and South Korea. The ceremony was held at the SGI-South Korea Gimhae Culture Center with Mayor Heo Seong Gon as keynote speaker. Two members of the National Assembly of South Korea also participated.
