Soka Kindergarten held its annual Independence Camp for K2 students from 29 to 30 May 2009. The two-day camp started with a trip to the Singapore Science Centre where students explored innovative hands-on and multimedia exhibits. The students also learnt about the properties of water and the various ways it can be used at The Water Works.
The campers gathered back in the evening at Soka Kindergarten for the highly anticipated campfire! Rallied around the artificial fire in the darkened foyer. The students sang and danced energetically together with their teachers and helpers.
Several Soka Kindergarten alumnus and 8 students from Ngee Ann Polytechnic’s Diploma in Child Psychology and Early Education course volunteered as big brothers and sisters at the camp.
