On October 23, the Beijing Film Academy confers an honorary professorship upon SGI President Ikeda, in recognition of his animated movies aimed at empowering youth, and in appreciation of his efforts to promote Sino-Japanese friendship through academic and educational exchange. A Chinese poem written by SGI President Ikeda was presented during the ceremony.
