Mahatma Gandhi-Daisaku Ikeda Peace Research Conference

The 2nd Mahatma Gandhi-Daisaku Ikeda Peace Research Conference was held on 27 May 2009 at Shangri-la Hotel.

Based on the theme “What can China and Japan do for peace and harmony in the region?”, panelists Professor Wu Jianmin and Professor Takashi Inoguchi spoke from their unique perspectives of the interactions between the two countries and their roles in maintaining regional peace and harmony.

The conference, chaired by Professor Wang Gungwu, was organized by East Asian Institute, Singapore as part of the East Asian Dialogue Series under the Mahatma Ghandhi-Daisaku Ikeda Peace Research Programme. Lam Kin-chung Morning Sun Charity Fund and Dr Ho Hau Wong sponsored the event.
