From February 13 to 15, NUSSD members rented a booth at the bazaar organised by the Engineering Faculty of NUS. NUSSD member, Teo Siew Kuang, who was in charged of the booth said, “Firstly, through this effort we hope to reach out to staff of NUS about the thoughts of President Ikeda and leading thinkers of our time through books, and introduce the peace movement of SGI. Secondly, this is an opportunity to bring the members of NUSSD together to do something.
Another member of NUSSD Huang SUYI said, “Amidst the hectic schedules the bazaar has allowed everyone to contribute and feel a great sense of purpose and joy. Unity and a sense of comradeship are so wonderful! I enjoyed myself tremendously and look forward to more events that NUSSD can contribute to.”
On April 2, Infotech, Arts and Commerce Student Division (ITACSD) members rented a booth at the flea market held at Singapore Expo in their effort to introduce President Ikeda’s books to the public.
ITACSD member, Hong Wen Qing, said, “During the sale of books we met people of different race and age. I had an opportunity to converse with a mother. She was looking for books relting to the understanding of children. I am glad I was able to share some helpful thoughts from President Ikeda and introduce the peace movement of SGI to her.”
