On September 21, SSA co-organized the “International Day of Peace” Observance event with Mercy Relief, Jamiyah Singapore, Young Sikh Association, Inter-Religious Organization to commemorate the International Day of Peace. Guest of Honor for this event is President Tham Seong Chee, President of the United Nations of Singapore. Organizer of the event Mercy Relief Chairman, Mr T K Udairam gave an opening message before the various religious groups shared their respective prayers for peace in the meeting that ensued. Some 200 people were present at the event.
SSA Soka Chorus performed two songs at the event. In conjunction with this event, three exhibitions were put up respectively by Jamiyah Singapore, Mercy Relief and SSA. The exhibition produced by SGI-USA “Building A Culture of Peace for the Children of the World” was put up by SSA.
