On October 7, nine grassroots leaders from the NorthWest Community Development Council (CDC) District led by Mayor Dr Teo Ho Pin paid a courtesy visit to SSA Headquarters. The party was received by SSA Chairman Ong Bon Chai, Executive Secretary Sandra Sin, and some Youth Division leaders.
During the two-hour session, the guests were introduced to SSA and its philosophy through a powerpoint presentation and a video on SGS’s activities in 2005. This was followed by an exchange on the topics of how both organisations engage members and volunteers in activities, how the varied activities were planned, and especially on the involvement of youth members. Future plans for collaborations were also explored. The session ended with a tour of the centre.
