In recent months, the Soka Volunteers Group (SVG) work together with our Arts and Culture Groups to bring joy to our community.
SGS is happy to welcome the opening of a new blood bank at One Punggol integrated community hub on 17 August as one of the key partners to cultivate a pool of regular blood donors under the Health Sciences Authority and SRC’s “Adopt A Blood bank” initiative.
On 6 and 13 June, Soka Volunteers Group(SVG) organised a June Holiday Bonding Program for Students of 7oaks Student Care Centre from Jurong and Bedok.
On 3 June, SGS cohosted a full day blood donation drive with the Singapore Red Cross at the SGS Headquarters. This donation drive, supported by the Tampines West Community Club, saw more than 100 people stepping forward to the call to save lives.
On 8 April, volunteers from Soka Volunteers Group supported in two Ramadan meals distribution events organised by Tampines West Community Club (TWCC) and Tampines Grove Residents’ Network (RN part of Tampines West).
Since February, the Soka Volunteers Group has resumed befriending activities with Dover Park Hospice and St. Andrew’s Nursing Home after three years of non-activity due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

This June, our Soka Volunteers Group re-initiated physical community befriending activities that had halted since the pandemic.
