Preparations for National Day Parade (NDP) 2020 has kickstarted!

On 30 January, NDP2020 Exco Chairman BG Frederick Choo and Show Chairman COL Wong Shi Ming led the NDP2020 Organising Committee team to call on General Director Tay Eng Kiat at the SSA Headquarters.

This year’s NDP celebrates the nation’s 55th year of independence and marks SGS’s 35th year of participation in the annual national celebration. Look out for the recruitment details coming up very soon!

While many may be slowing down our footsteps this holiday season, 100 Future Division members and another 100 Merdeka Generation members have been training hard for Chingay 2020 happening early February! Our kudos to all these wonderful members and those working behind the scenes for their great efforts!

On 21 December, SSA participated in the ‘Peace & Prosperity Singapura 2019’ held in commemoration of Singapore’s bicentennial year. This event, organised by Tao One Ltd and various collaborative partners, was a nationwide initiative to celebrate the nation’s peace and prosperity, and aims to foster a deeper appreciation of inter-racial and inter-religious harmony amongst Singaporeans. Minister for Education Mr Ong Ye Kung was the Guest of Honour for the event.
