I hope everyone is staying safe and in good health. While we are all keeping pace with the dynamic Covid-19 situation, I would like to share wonderful news with everyone. Just recently, we received the good news that our Merdeka Generation item in this year’s Chingay has been voted the Most Popular Contingent of Chingay 2020.

SGI President Ikeda shared in his recent message in December 2019 that the decade that begins from our 90th anniversary, leading on to our 100th anniversary, is going to be a turning point for humanity. It will be a decade of crucial importance that will decide the future of humankind.
Just three months ago, we welcomed this year—the turning of a new decade with fresh hope and vigour. Little did we know that barely a month on in January, news of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) outbreak would sweep us off our feet.

Greetings for the Lunar New Year! As we basked in the festivities of the new year, I had the opportunity to catch up with family members, relatives and friends who have been striving at the frontlines of kosen-rufu. I am encouraged that many are advancing with fresh vigour, filled with renewed determination to create new victories in this year of the 90th anniversary of the Soka Gakkai’s founding.

SSA General Director’s December 2019 Editorial
The Year of Soka Victory (2019) is fast coming to an end. It has been another fulfilling year for us: the successful bidding of a new land in Punggol for our new centre this April, the victorious performance by 600 youth division members and friends at the National Day Parade, and the holding of the Fifth Annual Ikeda Peace and Harmony Lecture with Dr Lawrence Edward Carter Sr, Dean of the Martin Lurther King Jr International Chapel of Morehouse College as the speaker.

SSA General Director’s November 2019 Editorial Recently in September, together with some SSA leaders, I had the opportunity to travel to India to participate in the significant opening of Bharat Soka Gakkai’s (BSG) new headquarters in New Delhi and the new Ikeda Auditorium at the Soka Bodhi Tree Garden.
