On 30 August, SGS General Director Tay Eng Kiat and representatives attended a Thank You Reception at the Istana hosted by President Halimah Yacob for the National Day Parade 2023 Executive Committee and participating organisations.
On 12 August, SGS Fife and Drum Corps put up a spirited and rousing performance at the Pasir Ris-Punggol National Day 2023 at One Punggol integrated community hub in the presence of some 3,000 audience.

SGS is happy to welcome the opening of a new blood bank at One Punggol integrated community hub on 17 August as one of the key partners to cultivate a pool of regular blood donors under the Health Sciences Authority and SRC’s “Adopt A Blood bank” initiative.
In conjunction with July 3, Mentor and Disciple Day, and in commemoration of the 72nd anniversaries of the Young Men Division and Young Women Division’s formation days, which fall on July 11th and July 19th respectively, over the course of two weekends on July 22 to 30, the vibrant youth of SGS came together for tri-regional gatherings.

On 29 July, SGS Harmony Circle representatives attended the ASEAN Youth Forum and Interfaith Harmony Seminar organised by Jamiyah Singapore in conjunction with the inaugural Exemplary Interfaith Award 2023.
On 26 July, SGS Vice Chairperson Lee Cheng Wee received the People’s Association (PA) Community Spirit, Merit Award, 2023, from Minister for Culture, Community and Youth, and Deputy Chairman of People’s Association, Mr Edwin Tong, at the Awards ceremony.
On 6 and 13 June, Soka Volunteers Group(SVG) organised a June Holiday Bonding Program for Students of 7oaks Student Care Centre from Jurong and Bedok.
On 3 July, SGS did a book donation of President Daisaku Ikeda’s titles to the Central Library of the National University of Singapore (NUS). This is the second book donation to the University with the first personally carried out by Mr Ikeda during his inaugural visit to Singapore 35 years ago in 1988.
