Youth leaders headed by Young Men Division Leader Mr Leonard Koh and Young Women Division Leader Ms Yeap Lay Huay, welcome National Youth Council Director Mr Koh Peng Keng and five staff members to the SSA Headquarters on November 26.
A lively and interactive session ensued for two hours where topics on the upcoming Youth Olympics 2010 hosted by Singapore, present status of Singapore youths, varied activities by both organizations in engaging different youth groups etc were shared.
The guests were also given a video introduction to SSA, and had a tour around the Headquarters. Books on SGI President Ikeda’s dialogues with Arnold Toynbee, compilation of peace lectures speeches organized by SSA, and a new book on SGI President Ikeda’s speeches for Singapore, were presented to the NYC Director.
In his encouragement for the SSA youths, Mr Koh Peng Keng penned the following, “Great work by the SSA Youth Division to engage and develop their youth members as well as to reach out to other members of the society. Keep up the good work!”
