A group of SSA members with passion for singing showcased their talents in singing at the “Songs from the Heart—Friendship for Peace” concerts held on 17 and 18 June at SSA Headquarters.
Amongst the repertoire of songs presented were a number of newly composed ones. The performers sang with much vigour and zest that they won thunderous applause from the full-capacity audience. The eyes of many were glistened with tears when they heard Choo Lay Leng sang “A Mother’s Heart” to express her gratitude to her mother for introducing her to Nichiren Buddhism that changed her life. Through her earnest faith in the Gohonzon, she has grown from a rebellious youngster to a fine person who could now appreciate her parents and seniors.
