SSA Book Fair Promotes Culture of Seeking the Hope-filled Philosophy of Buddhist Humanism

The annual SSA Book Fair held on 3 and 4 September 2011 at the SSA Headquarters welcomed more than 3,600 visitors. Amidst the vast array of publications on Buddhism, life and society, the fair also featured a host of new titles including “An Introduction to Nichiren Buddhism:, “Breakthroughs” – a collection of SSA Men Division members’ experiences, and “Singapore: Where the Crown of Humanity Shines” – a new edition of the compilation of poems and essays on Singapore written by SGI President Ikeda., along with speeches and guidance he gave on his three visits to Singapore.
The good response to the book fair is a good indication of of members’ strong seeking spirit for the hope-filled philosophy of Buddhist Humanism, for which they can put into practice in the daily lives.
