Through the extensive personal and professional experiencs of two high-profile thinkers and activists from very different positions – SGI President Daisaku Ikeda, a Buddhist philiosopher, educator and advocate for global peace; and the other is Anwarul K. Chodhury, the former Senior Special Advisor to the UN General Assembly President, renowned for his international work in peace, development and human rights, this rich and varied discourse between the two men highlights how a culture of peace can be achieved through individual, collective and institutional transformation.
The dialogue also provides insights into key challenges that our planet is facing today, including poverty and deprivation, war and violence, nuclear weapons and small arms, climate change and environmental degradation, financial crises, marginalization of women and alienation of youth, and the drive for materialism.
