On 2 February, over 1,000 people attended the 8th Annual SMU-Soka International Peace Symposium held at the Ngee Ann Kongsi Auditorium at the Singapore Management University.
On 6 September, the 9th Annual SMU-Ikeda Peace and Harmony Lecture, titled “Happiness and Peace in a Troubled World” convened with great success, drawing an online audience of approximately 1,200 attendees via Zoom and Facebook LIVE.
On 3 July, SGS did a book donation of President Daisaku Ikeda’s titles to the Central Library of the National University of Singapore (NUS). This is the second book donation to the University with the first personally carried out by Mr Ikeda during his inaugural visit to Singapore 35 years ago in 1988.
The SGS Peace Lecture 2023 was held on May 29 at the Punggol Soka Centre, delivered by Professor Lily Kong, President of Singapore Management University on the topic of “Standing on Common Ground – Space and Community in Singapore”.
Some 430 people attended the 7th Wee Kim Wee-Soka International Seminar on Global Peace and Understanding held on 16 February at the SMU School of Law, and via Zoom.
On 4 November, SGS General Director Tay Eng Kiat and Vice General Director Michael Yap joined the celebrations of Wee Kim Wee Centre’s 20th Anniversary at the Singapore Management University (SMU).
The 8th Annual Ikeda Peace and Harmony Lecture successfully took place on 23 September at the Singapore Management University Yong Pung How School of Law.

On 20 January, the 6th Annual Wee Kim Wee-Soka International Seminar on Global Peace and Understanding was held via Zoom webinar. This is the sixth in a series that SGS has collaborated with SMU since 2016.
On 24 September, Soka Kindergarten (SK) and PPIS held an online exchange programme where the young children from both institutions shared their sustainability efforts with one another.
In collaboration with the Singapore Management University for the 7th year running, the Annual Ikeda Peace and Harmony Lecture conducted virtually this year saw an overwhelming attendance of over 1,000 people in attendance.
