On September 30, the Second SSA Student Peace Lecture was held at the SSA Headquarters where 850 participants, including some 50 guests from various youth organisations, tertiary institutions and schools attended.
From 21-24 September, SSA organised the “Building a Culture of Peace for the Children of the World” exhibition at the Singapore Management University (SMU). This exhibition was put up together with a series of events held by the school in commemoration of September 21 – the International Day of Peace.
A detailed account of the history of SSA was featured on page 499 of the new Singapore Encyclopedia that was released on September 11.
SSA joined the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Singapore, the United Nations Association of Singapore (UNAS), and the National Library Board of Singapore, in co-hosting an exhibition of posters held from September 4 to 27 at the National Library.
For the first time, some 30 Mahad Al-Nasry Kindergarten students visited Soka Kindergarten. This educational and cultural exchange took place at the premises of Soka Kindergarten on August 3.
