On 23 January, SGS hosted friends from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at the SGS Headquarters, where they were introduced to the history and activities of SGS.
On 20 January, some 230 people attended the Tribute Seminar for Ikeda Sensei, titled “Towards A Philosophy of Peace – Honouring the Contributions of Daisaku Ikeda”, held at the Soka Peace Centre.
2nd January was a day of excitement for the teachers and students of Soka Preschool for their Entrance Day.

On 26 November, more than 11,000 members attended Memorial Prayer Sessions held in honour of Ikeda Sensei across 7 centers, to offer their prayers to Ikeda Sensei with profound gratitude.
On 25 November, SGS conducted a Memorial Prayer Session in honour of SGI President Daisaku Ikeda, attended by SGS leader representatives and community partners.
Preparations for next year’s Chingay Parade participation has kickstarted! Represented by 200 youthful Adult Division members from Region 1, 2 and 5, next year will see SGS’s 40th year of participation in this annual street parade.

On 6 September, the 9th Annual SMU-Ikeda Peace and Harmony Lecture, titled “Happiness and Peace in a Troubled World” convened with great success, drawing an online audience of approximately 1,200 attendees via Zoom and Facebook LIVE.
On 30 August, SGS General Director Tay Eng Kiat and representatives attended a Thank You Reception at the Istana hosted by President Halimah Yacob for the National Day Parade 2023 Executive Committee and participating organisations.
